World’s Most Expensive Cars, 2006 [Forbes]

British talking head Jeremy Clarkson revisits his initial perceptions of the Bugatti Veyron for Top Gear: “Quite the most stunning piece of automotive engineering ever created … the Veyron has rendered everything I’ve ever said about any other car obsolete. It’s rewritten the rule book, moved the goalposts and in the process, given Mother Nature a bloody nose.” He also takes to task motoring journalists who jeer at the car’s development time, and, erm, prohibitive cost. “You were wrong and the Veyron makes you look like a twat.” So there.

Thanks, Christian.
